Is this the end of demolition as we know it?

MadiganGill Logistics are proud to have recently supported a fantastic community-led initiative at Colville Estate, working alongside our client Kier and local residents to help bring the vision of Colville Commons to life.
Led by our Senior Logistics Manager, Daniel Lewis, and the site team, this initiative reflects the positive role construction can play in supporting communities beyond the project boundary.
Colville Commons is being created as a welcoming, accessible space where residents can connect, learn new skills, volunteer, share meals and build relationships across generations. What was once an underused area is being transformed into a community hub driven by local people, for local people.
The space will provide opportunities for barista and hospitality training, digital inclusion support, volunteering and work experience placements, wellbeing activities, community events and shared cooking sessions designed to reduce isolation and strengthen community connections.
Tony Ball, Managing Director of Logistics & Principal Demolition says “At MadiganGill, we are committed to creating lasting social value wherever we work in line with our CSR strategy, and it has been a privilege to contribute to a project that will have such a positive impact on local residents for years to come.
A huge thank you to Dan, the site team, Kier and everyone involved in making this community project such a success.”
