Recently we had the pleasure of supporting local charity, Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST), with one of the community spaces they manage – ‘Marlborough Sports Garden’, in South London.
Our colleagues got to work helping with topping-up (and levelling) around 30 tonnes of specialist sand on their (sand) court. Despite some logistical challenges with heat and humidity, our MadiganGill Logistics team – Paul Manning, RanceWilson, Cristian Gheorghe, VasileStan, and AurelianStefu - ploughed on and were able to get the sand court ready for the young people to play on.
This is all part of our MadiganGIll CSR strategy and we are proud to support local organisations like BOST, an environmental and volunteering charity who work to provide outstanding green spaces and outdoor activities that enhance the health and wellbeing of urban communities. We are keen to invest time, materials, and money into local projects which help communities flourish and ‘go green’.
We believe that it is vital for us to support local causes and charities who are doing crucial work assisting young people - on as many fronts as possible including keeping them active, instilling aspiration, and helping them thrive in all aspects of life.
We hope our small contribution will help this great charity continue with the wonderful work they are doing and enable them to continue to offer free or subsidised costs for access to open spaces, sports courts, and coaching communities.
