National Apprenticeship Week is a great time to announce our next group of Apprentices

Date posted 8-02-2024

An Apprenticeship is all about providing the next generation with the skills and knowledge for a long-term career in construction.

We are particularly proud of our Logistics ‘Waste Resource Operative Apprenticeship’ and February 2024 sees the second cohort of 10 eager and willing participants. Our apprentices aspire to be ‘champions and specialists in waste’ and are prepared to learn and work hard towards taking on supervisory and management roles.

Our Apprenticeships have been supported in-house by our entire team led by Adam Webster, Group HR Manager, and Naz Toropdar, Head of Group CSR.

MadiganGill is pleased to support the Government's aims of building a productive, talented, motivated, and effective workforce. Our schemes are an excellent way for us to expand and up-skill our workforce, with the vital dissemination of skills and learnings this entails. We are determined to seize opportunities to nurture any talent and unlock the potential of those who experience multiple barriers to employment in the labour market.

With one eye on the future, we are enthusiastic about strengthening the pipeline for people into the construction sector. So that we can target hard-to-reach areas and communities - particularly those that are most disadvantaged and economically excluded - we are working very closely with our clients, local authorities, and community organisations. We intend to utilise our networks to effectively publicise and promote these opportunities to those who need them most.
