CSR - Our Journey so far
Although we are only halfway through the journey, our Board is delighted with the progress we’ve achieved, despite the challenges we are seeing in our industry. The great news is that we’re on schedule for achieving much of what we set out to do.
One of our proudest achievements has been the successful launch of our Waste Management Apprenticeship programme, which focuses on investing in and upskilling colleagues who are keen to develop within construction and logistics. Due to the success of the programme, we are already recruiting for our second cohort.
We are also really pleased that our working groups, established from the outset, have empowered our colleagues, giving them a voice and the ability to shape the various activities and initiatives we are developing and delivering.
Our Group Head of CSR, Naz Toropdar, reports “We’ve had a tremendous response from our clients, suppliers and friends in construction. Many of whom have become invaluable partners in numerous activities, initiatives and events, all while contributing to our respective CSR, sustainability and ESG goals.” He further added, “It’s these collaborations that gives us such hope and motivation to address even more local and national challenges.”
The exciting news is that we have lots more things planned in the pipeline and we are already working with different clients and partners to bring them to life. Our commitment does not stop there - we are continually looking for new collaborations and innovative ideas to transform the industry and make a positive impact in communities.
