Join Our Professional Security Team

We are looking for a reliable, confident, and customer-focused Relief Security Officer to join our team at a busy shopping centre in Hastings. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two shifts are the same. You will play a key part in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for shoppers, visitors, tenants, and staff.

As a Relief Officer, you will provide flexible cover across a range of duties including front-line customer service, incident management, and control room operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing a visible and professional security presence throughout the shopping centre.
• Delivering excellent customer service and assisting members of the public with enquiries.
• Monitoring CCTV systems and reporting suspicious activity.
• Operating within the control room and responding to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
• Managing and recording security incidents accurately and professionally.
• Conducting patrols of internal and external areas.
• Liaising with centre management, retailers, emergency services, and contractors when required.
• Assisting with conflict management and incident resolution.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and security procedures are followed at all times.
• Producing clear and concise incident reports and handover notes.

Essential Requirements

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing security role.
• Full right to work in the UK.

Desirable

• SIA CCTV Public Space Surveillance Licence (highly advantageous).
• Previous control room experience.
• Experience working in a shopping centre, retail, or public-facing environment.
• First Aid qualification.
