We are recruiting a Document Controller on behalf of our Client, a Design & Build Main Constractor. This person will be on site 5 days per week on a Large Listed Building Refurb in Manchester.

Our client is open to applicants who require a freelance arrangement or permanent PAYE employent. Procore experience is a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document Management:

    • Manage and maintain all project documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and compliant with company and project standards.
    • Organize and control the distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders.
  • Procore Management:

    • Utilize Procore for document control, ensuring all documents are accurately uploaded, managed, and tracked.
    • Train and support project team members on the effective use of Procore.
  • Communication and Coordination:

    • Liaise with project managers, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth document flow.
    • Ensure all documentation is accessible to the project team and that any issues are promptly addressed.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and company standards, particularly those specific to listed building refurbishment.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with document control procedures.
  • Reporting and Documentation:

    • Generate and distribute regular reports on document status and compliance.
    • Maintain accurate records of document history, revisions, and distribution.
  • Administrative Support:

    • Provide administrative support to the project team as required.
    • Manage project correspondence and maintain an organized filing system.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Document Controller, preferably in the construction or refurbishment industry.
    • Proven experience in managing documentation for large-scale projects.
    • Experience working on listed building projects is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Procore is essential.
    • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge:

    • Understanding of document control standards and best practices.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance specific to listed buildings.
  • Skills:

    • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
